Today was the Art Works exhibition. My class presented our masks that we have been working on for the past 5 weeks.
Some of the things that I put on my mask were the Samoan flag and 685 to represent my culture. I also added some Samoan patterns because I love my culture. I chose black to be the main colour because I like ninjas and I thought it would look cool.
The hardest about making the mask was putting the newspaper on the balloon because I was slow and I didn’t get to finish my own balloon. I don’t even know if the mask I was using was from the balloon that I made.
The easiest thing about the mask process was painting the entire mask black. It was easy because you just paint the whole thing and you don’t have to worry about making any mistakes because it was all the same colour.
Something that I learnt during the mask making process was patience. I wasn’t patient, but I know that good things take a long time so now I know why taking your time is important.
